Adventism Splitting Is Not the Worst Thing! Graham Stacey’s Response to Chapter 10 in Where Are We Headed? by William Johnsson

If a “split” takes place, it will be because the G.C. leadership pushed it and forced it.

George, Harrpa –
IF there IS a “Split”, HOW will people in the pews tell WHICH is the TRUE Church?
Which ONE will be translated.
Which ONE will be Left Behind.

Well at least there is a 50/50 chance here. That better than 1 in 20, like we were told.

Those who focus on others (not themselves)

Those who are kind to the outsiders

Those who are quietly in the background giving a cup of water to the thirsty

Those who are proclaiming the freedom in Christ’s grace

Those who are covered by the Robes of Christ’s Righteousness (not their own rags of perfection)

Those who are clothing the refugees

Those who are dipping food to the hungry

Those who are lifting up the name of Christ

Those who study the scriptures (like the Bereans)

Those who are uplifting, kind, patient, longsuffering, who are persecuted, misunderstood.

Those who are focused on the greater light, not human understandings.

Those who believe in the Priesthood of ALL Believers.

Those who do not lift up liars, falsetellers, deceivers and bearers of disinformation

Those who are NOT constantly trying to separate the wheat from the tares.

Those who are truthful and humble in heart

Those who do NOT preach a false Gospel, adding to what Jesus taught: You are saved by grace. Not of yourself, lest any man or woman might boast. For it is the gift (unearned) of God unto salvation.

A wise king winnows out the wicked [from among the good] and brings the threshing wheel over them [to separate the chaff from the grain].

I have mentioned this before but the Presbyterian church has many different organizations. Each can then pursue their passions without using all their energies for infighting. So, while not desirable over every little issue, it isn’t the end of the world!
PS. Is the organization our God, or Christ? I personally don’t believe in the lowest common denominator for the sake of a pretended unity.
