I really enjoyed the article! I believe so much of God’s acts of punishment are misunderstood. We confuse “love” with God allowing each to do as they please. The tree of knowledge should show us that God does not allow us to do whatever we chose without His direct consequences. If one act of disobedience has caused all the horrific suffering we see in the world. And if God loves us so much that He never wants to see us suffer again. Why would He allow sin to continue without putting an end to it? That’s what He did in the days of Noah and that’s what He’ll do when Jesus returns as well.
