I watched all of the endorsement…live.

One thing that a viewer can get out of it , is that one can get a different opinion/perspective about another individual by spending time with them instead of just making a judgment based on hearsay, gossip or media snippets.

There are so many Jesus’s out there because people only hear some snippets from a sermon or do a quick read of bible verses.

90% of churchgoers have never read whole bible. Most SDA do not spend time or much time with their SS lesson. More time is spent watching TV than thinking and talking with/about God.

And with the 13 week Great Contoversy theme in progress…(SS quarterly) hardly any attention is given to the 2 main issues of the great controversy which is about the slander by Satan about the character of God and how unnecessary/oppressive the law is.

Many, if not most, SDA are now of the opinion that it is impossible to stop sinning before death or translation.
"Having the form of Godliness, but denying the power."
According to SOP , Satan claimed it was impossible for humans to keep the LAW of God and how many parrot his charge?

How many look upon Jesus with contempt because He said .".Be ye perfect…go and sin no more,… except your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes & Pharisees…"

“And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2 Cor 11:14-15

Any chance that Ben witnessed to Don about God or SDA persuasion? They spent hours together. Maybe some of Ben’s gentleness influenced Don?

Ben Carson seems to have an unusually limited ability to accept and manage social events of interaction that exist outside of his personal world perception. These events for some reason “challenge” him and subsequently, he performs an absolute dismissal instead of an act of incorporation and appropriate “reflection” back. Simply put, a one way conversation only.

Of course, if “called” then the niceties of two-way communication where reconciliation occurs can be dispensed with…?

There just seems to be a certain amount of reality disconnection, that the public picks up on. Kind of an “off” vibe, that really held him back from expanding a support base.

Still as said, was admirable that he did not get pulled into the “fray” as such, but by the same token, not being pulled in to some degree prevents that feedback of being relatable, coming across as a warning sign.

The path Ben is now taking seems to be a path where he is playing a waiting game for when “events” will move the populace toward him. Which for SDAs… is a troubling thought.

Opinion based on no personal experience with Ben, but then again, that just makes me one of the rabble voters.

When one is judging a friend, to remember that he is judging you with the same godlike and superior impartiality. Enjoy your First Amendment to some of us that Ben Carson is a… ( fill in your own # #@ @ %% &) to some of us the worst for too much liberty. Ben is a true friend who likes us despite our achievements. Ben is not a cynic like some of us who, when we smell flowers, look around for coffins.
