Music videos have had a relatively short but very fascinating history. From a concept that originated as a marketing tool, it's become a launch pad for creative new directors and a testing ground for cinematographers. It's a medium that plays with conceptual and performance art, giving filmmakers a little more creative space to experiment.
This week's videos feature some very unique musical performances, from a duet between a piano and a monome, a simple tool that is changing how artists think about music; to a house performance that slowly grows more and more magical; to finally, the beauty of female voices singing acapella.
