Did you get your diploma for Psychiatry on the back label of a can of Loma Linda dinner cuts?
And you are not even doing that! You are, again, just writing a criticism but not doing better than those who you are criticizing.
I wonder if you actually see the criticism in most of your comments. You remind me of that guy who could not write a single comment without bringing up the abortion issue. Any of his comments would always focus on abortion no matter what the subject of the thread were. It was so annoying…
@gideonjrn, perhaps we can dig into it together.
My understanding of the first part - The fear (respect/awe) of God is the beginning of wisdom - is that to not respect (bow our knee, humble ourselves) is foolish. When we humble ourselves before God, we are teachable. It is impossible to teach someone something they already know. It is only through humilty, acknowledging our shortfalls, that we learn. That is the starting point. If we can’t do that we are blinded by stupidity and arrogance.
The second part of the text refers to our relationship with God. It follows on as the growth process. The more we learn of God, the more we understand the world around us. More importantly, the more we know about God, the more we realise we don’t know about God.
Respect for God goes hand in hand with a growing relationship with God.
How can I see??
I have been told for many years that I am a poor BLIND naked Laodicean.
Not funny. You keep criticizing everyone as incompetent, etc,. then when called on it you just try to be funny and do not answer it seriously or responsibly.
Anyone who expects a “diploma” as evidence of completing a residency in psychiatry is misguided. We are given a certificate for completing a residency training. I wonder how much of this misguided understanding spills into @gideonjrn understanding of theology. After all, a leopard cannot change its skin.
